Revelstoke was founded in the 1880s when the Canadian Pacific Railing (CPR) was built through the area. Since then it has evolved into an epic adventure destination. (It has long been a destination for mountaineers, hikers and explorers, and was historically referred to as “the capital of the Canadian Alps”.
